Function Overview

The Investment Banking Division (IBD) provides a vast array of advisory, financing, and solutions capabilities to corporations, institutions and governments around the world. Our global teams consist of experienced professionals who act as advisory, coverage, and product specialists.

  • M&A: Advisory services pertaining to mergers, acquisitions, and strategic assignments
  • Coverage: Industry coverage in areas including Consumer / Retail, Real Estate / Gaming / Lodging / Leisure, Financial Institutions, Healthcare, Technology / Media / Telecoms, Industrials, Financial Sponsors, and Greentech, Industrial and Infrastructure
  • Client Financing & Solutions: Product specialists in traditional capital markets and financing functions, including Acquisition & Leveraged Finance, Equity Capital Markets, and Debt Capital Markets / Syndicate Greentech, Industrial, Infrastructure (Nomura Greentech)

Nomura Greentech became part of the broader Nomura Investment Banking offering on April 1, 2020, focused primarily on the transformation of infrastructure systems, including energy, transportation, food, water and waste - to be lower carbon, less wasteful, and more intelligent by using 21st century technologies. In February 2022, Nomura created the Greentech, Industrial and Infrastructure coverage team and Nomura Greentech has become part of it. Nomura Greentech team will work with a vast global network of investors, growth companies, asset owners and investors providing our collective client base with more ways to succeed.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimally a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent from an accredited tertiary institution
  • Minimum 3 years of experience within Agtech, Greentech, Advanced Transportation, Renewable Energy, Industrials, or Infrastructure coverage in an Investment Bank
  • Prior experience in valuation, financial analysis, strategic analysis, due diligence, deal financing and process management across various investment banking products, especially M&A
  • Ability to leverage the sector knowledge you have already developed to expand and build expertise across adjacent sectors over time
  • Network internally and externally to improve knowledge of Greentech team and the firm
  • Build close working relationships with all colleagues in Nomura Greentech team
  • Excellent organization and project management skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in flat teams, managing up and down as appropriate
  • Entrepreneurial mindset: flexibility in taking on additional responsibilities ad hoc as needed
  • Create and constantly improve materials, leverage differentiated content of our existing sector teams
