JOB DESCRIPTION

The J.P. Morgan EMEA Real Estate, Lodging and Gaming IB business is a leading EMEA franchise in terms of number of clients, transaction activity and revenue market share and is looking for a Vice President to join the team.
The team responsible for origination and execution of public and private M&A and capital markets transactions involving corporate and financial sponsor clients.

JOB SUMMARY:

As an Executive Director in our Real Estate, you will play a vital and accountable role in all aspects of executing Corporate Finance transactions and maintaining strategic dialogue with clients as part of the wider advisory role.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, CAPABILITIES AND SKILLS

  • 7+ years of prior UK Real Estate investment banking experience
  • Demonstrate exceptional written and verbal communication skills with specific ability to communicate concepts and ideas concisely and defend their validity
  • Very strong quantitative and analytical skills (including Excel modelling and valuation work)
  • Ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines, and have the aptitude to synthesize large amounts of information and to develop innovative solutions
  • Demonstrates adaptability, able to manage projects independently and be ready to assume a high level of responsibility as a member of a team
  • Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrates the ability to comfortably interact with clients in a professional and mature manner
  • Outstanding ethics, integrity and judgment
  • Excellent understanding of financial, legal and reputational risks facing large integrated investment banks in today’s environment
  • Highly organized, detail oriented and proactive
  • Excellent technology skills with superior Excel and PowerPoint skills and ability to quickly learn new software applications

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS, CAPABILITIES AND SKILLS

European language skills, while not required are desirable

Responsibilities:

  • Transaction execution: support due diligence, document preparation, negotiation etc and liaising with relevant counterpart at the client/ other advisers (accounting, legal etc.)
  • Responsible for monitoring and evaluating current events, valuation and other financial information on the clients of the group
  • Support senior members of team on client origination
  • Be the origination lead for certain sector verticals
  • Building and using financial models, and complete large and complex valuation and analytical exercises
  • Execute end-to-end client transactions
  • Support the preparation of presentation books, management presentations, Board materials, Memorandums, and other presentation materials for use in M&A and capital markets transactions or strategic client dialogue
  • Provide leadership, mentorship and supervision to Analysts and Associates
