Description:

Our client is actively seeking an experienced Investment Counsellor for a Global Private Investment Bank, which specializes in providing tailored investment solutions, advisory services, and data analysis.
The role involves leading a team of relationship managers to ensure the delivery of wealth revenue, addressing internal requirements, and taking full responsibility for investment advice, while directly engaging with key clients and relationship managers.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing expert investment advice and support to Senior Relationship Managers and Ultra High Net Worth advisory clients across various assets, including equities, fixed income, FX/commodities, funds, real estate, structured solutions, direct investments, derivatives, and discretionary mandates.
  • Identifying and executing cross-selling opportunities across departments.
  • Assisting Relationship Managers in acquiring new assets under management, understanding new products, and identifying potential investment clients.
  • Ensuring that advisory and discretionary trades are accurately executed and recorded in the Advent system.
  • Continuously assessing and updating client risk profiles.
  • Selecting suitable products from the available range.
  • Constructing client investment portfolios in accordance with risk profiles, product availability, and current asset allocation models.
  • Regularly reporting on client investment performance; reviewing and adjusting client risk profiles as necessary, and consulting with clients and relationships on proposed changes.
  • Collaborating with the Chief Investment Office to prepare and review investment account statements.
  • Analyzing positions, asset allocation, suitability, and recommending investment changes or new ideas.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in finance-related field.
  • At least 7 years financial experience, out of which 5 years of investment experience and 3+ years Private Banking experience with investment bias.
  • In-depth knowledge of the product and services, associated charges / fees, legal provisions, delivery process, equity and bond market, unit trusts and other personal investment services.
  • Solid understanding of the bedrock financial theory.
  • Understand procedures for Securities Dealing & Forex trades, via Treasury dealers (within delegations)
