As a Data Analyst, you’ll work closely with Outcome Optimization Managers to shape our strategic direction. Your focus will vary from regulatory and compliance performance to geographical and functional areas, asset types, systems, and external factors. Ready to make a tangible impact?

Responsibilities:

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING AS AN INVESTMENT ANALYST

  • Responsible for supporting the development and successful implementation of the 5-year current investment plans. Liaise with internal stakeholders (e.g., Delivery Teams, Finance, Strategy, and Regulation) to ensure a financially balanced investment plan in line with regulatory drivers and expected outcomes and performance.
  • Ensure plans address business and customer needs and align with Thames Waters’s 2050 vision.
  • Contribute to the development of investment decision-making processes that are by industry best practices and national standards such as ISO55001.
  • Support internal governance processes to ensure projects & programmes can be approved for delivery as efficiently as possible through standard ‘stage gates’.
  • Provide support to the various forecasting cycles and annual budgeting process.
  • Provide support to continually rebalance the investment portfolio in response to changes/developments and real-time feedback from Delivery Teams.
  • Ensure the live programme is managed effectively and efficiently by developing MI to highlight emerging business issues.
  • Liaise with Strategic Programme leads to ensure complete portfolio visibility is available to key stakeholders, aligning with the developing Strategic Programme model.
  • Where changes to the investment portfolio are required, implement through appropriate change control procedures.
  • Assist with developing the rolling medium-term investment and regulatory business plans where required.
    This role will be hybrid-based at Clearwater Court; you will be required to work at our offices and sites as the business requires you to.
    36 hours a week, Monday to Friday.

WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING TO THE ROLE

  • Enthusiastic about putting our customers first every day.
  • Operated within an asset /portfolio management role, ideally within the utilities sector.
  • Demonstrable track record of developing investment programmes through several cycles of business planning.
  • Commercial solid/financial track record developed within a multi-stakeholder and regulated environment.
  • Advanced data analysis & data reporting skills, including Power BI, Excel, SAP etc.
