Job description
My client offers their investors an end-to-end funds management platform that provides a range of tailored investment options. These include industrial, office, hotel, health care and large format retail funds.
Due to recent growth, the need has arisen for an experienced Real Estate Investment Fund Analyst to join the team.

ABOUT YOU

To be successful in the role you will ideally possess:

  • 2-5 years’ experience as a Property or Fund Analyst, Assistant Valuer or Valuer, Real Estate Consultant or Advisor.
  • If you do not have Property experience, we would be seeking a candidate that has a strong financial background from a Big 4 consultancy in either Corporate Finance, Advisory or similar.
  • Degree in Commerce/Finance/Real Estate or other relevant discipline a requirement.
  • Strong Analytical skills including Excel.
  • Financial modelling capability.
  • Proficient in Word and PWP (report writing and board presentations).

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

The successful candidate will work across a range of duties and departments that include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Perform financial analysis of acquisitions and development opportunities through financial modelling, analysis of cash flows and application of valuation principles using Excel software.
  • Assist with due diligence processes associated with acquisitions by performing document control, reading lease abstracts, verifying projections or other duties as assigned.
  • Assist in the preparation of internal and external investment reports including investment deal summaries and Investment Committee reports, with responsibility for written and graphic requirements.
  • Participate in the asset management of existing properties including market research, leasing, property sales and administration of investor requirements. Duties may include reviewing leases, property financial statements or determining feasibility of proposed capital projects.
  • Participate in the development management of projects including feasibility analysis, entitlement processes, financing, design, contract negotiation, tendering, and construction management.
  • Source, maintain and update sales and lease comparable databases.
  • Responsible for the property and sector analysis for New Zealand and wider markets.
