Description:

We are seeking a Syndicate Lead to manage our syndicate on AngelList, from sourcing deals to supporting portfolio companies post-investment.
This will either be a paid position with no carry or an unpaid position with meaningful carry. Either is fine.

REQUIREMENTS

Technical Skills

  • 2+ years of experience in venture capital, growth equity, or startups.
  • Proven ability to network with founders and industry leaders.
  • Strong skills in financial reporting and compliance.
  • Experience with VC software tools such as AngelList, Visible VC, Notion, AirTable, Slack, Loom, SubStack, and Zapier.

Soft Skills

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Highly organized and capable of prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to make quick, well-supported decisions.

Mentality

  • Autonomous and proactive in managing responsibilities.
  • Strong leadership qualities, particularly in syndication or investment processes.
  • Innovative and execution-focused, with a knack for building and improving platforms.

Responsibilities:

Sourcing and Networking

  • Build relationships with top VCs globally to source deals.
  • Network within the community and LP base to grow the investment pipeline.
  • Establish and expand your personal network in the venture capital space.

Investment Diligence and Pipeline Management

  • Manage the investment diligence process from start to finish.
  • Create and deliver detailed investment memos for internal and syndicate distribution.
  • Filter and analyze the investment pipeline, ensuring high-quality deal flow.

Syndicate Management and Investor Engagement

  • Launch, distribute, and manage live syndicate opportunities.
  • Engage and support syndicate participants from initiation to closing.
  • Conduct LP outreach, Q&A sessions, and collect investor documentation.

Portfolio Support and Reporting

  • Support and maintain portfolio companies post-syndicate close.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and meet LP expectations for reporting.
  • Provide investors with clear and transparent performance updates.

Operational Support and Business Development

  • Source and screen prospective operational advisors to support business growth.
  • Ideate and execute strategies for improving the syndicate’s operations and reach.
