ABOUT THE POSITION

We are seeking an iOS Application Software Engineer to join our dynamic team, focusing on the enhancement of our web application. Our ideal candidate will work well in a team environment and enjoys the support and shared learning experience from a group of peers who are just as jazzed about technology as you are. But you also like to work autonomously and have a lot of freedom to be creative and inventive. While you have ample experience with the below technologies, you are constantly learning new tricks.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

• Expert level knowledge of Xcode, the iOS SDK, and Swift or Objective-C
• A deep understanding of UIKit, with some SwiftUI experience
• Demonstrated experience developing multi-threaded mobile apps that leverage web services
• Worked on real apps in the app store (please include names)
• Great SQL skills working with SQLite
• Understanding of the full mobile development life cycle
• Disciplined use of source control and bug tracking systems
• A full and comprehensive understanding of user experience fundamentals
• Computer science degree or equivalent experience
• Proven leadership experience, with the ability to lead and mentor a team of mobile engineers
• Experience working on large-scale, complex mobile applications with a focus on performance, scalability, and user experience.
• Proficiency in automated testing frameworks such as XCTest, XCTestUI, or similar
• Strong understanding of mobile development best practices, design patterns, and architectural principles

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

• 5+ years of mobile application development utilizing Xcode
• Experience with a mixed Swift and Objective-C codebase
• Experience with mobile app testing & automation
• Experience with continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for iOS applications
• Knowledge of backend technologies such as RESTful, APIs, GraphQL, or Firebase
• Contribution to open-source projects or active participation in the iOS developer community
• Loyal long-term thinker looking to be a part of a talented mobile development team
• A motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Participate in iOS development from concept through to deployment
• Support and maintain deployed iOS applications
• Communicate the status of projects and issues with project managers
• Continuously update your skill set to help build better products
• Actively investigate new technologies
• Lead the design, development, and implementation of iOS applications, adhering to industry best practices
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, product owners, designers, and backend engineers, to deliver high-quality features and enhancements
• Oversee the entire mobile development lifecycle, from concept to delivery, ensuring timely delivery of milestones
• Implement and maintain automated testing frameworks to ensure the reliability and stability of our iOS applications
• Optimize application performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to enhance user experience
• All other duties as assigned
