Description:
Booth Udall Fuller is seeking a Legal Support Specialist to work in our Tempe, AZ office.
Description:
- Review and extract salient information from correspondence and other documents received from the US Patent and Trademark Office, foreign law firms, firm clients and others and input case information into firm’s intellectual property docketing database.
- Monitor, maintain and clear dockets by coordinating with attorneys and staff to make sure all docket dates are satisfied.
- Coordinate patent renewals and maintain firm’s annuities management database.
- Conduct mail matching, de-docketing of files, and transfer-in and transfer-out audits.
- Conduct in-office conflict checks, create new client file structures and client database records.
- Communicate notices and paperwork received from the US Patent and Trademark Office to clients and office personnel.
- Assist with other patent and trademark prosecution projects as assigned.
- This is an entry-level position that pays $18 an hour.
Requirements:
- Must work in the Tempe, Arizona Office.

- Communicate clearly and thoroughly (written and verbal).
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Windows and Microsoft Office Suite applications (Outlook, Word, and Excel).
- Organized self-starter with attention to detail, ability to prioritize tasks and responsibilities to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment with a very high degree of accuracy.
- Eagerly seek constructive feedback.
Preferences:
- Experience in patent and trademark prosecution matters
- Knowledge of US patent and trademark calendaring and filing deadlines, and US and foreign patent prosecution rules and regulations.
- Patent docketing experience, preferably with CPI docketing system.
- USPTO electronic patent filing experience.
- Experience with international patent applications and documents.
