- Extensive industry experience as a market risk practitioner and oversight of either traded, or non-traded market risk disciplines and sound understanding of Banking Treasury & Financial Markets environments
- Skilled in use of the Focus system is advantageous
- Relevant and proven experience at management levels
- Bachelor’s degree in related risk management discipline
- Ability to develop strong working relationships and enable cross functional teams
Known internally as Business Technology Specialist - IRRBB the role is responsible for leading the development and optimisation of Focus IRRBB models and systems. It’s a newly created role and part of the Financial Risk and Modelling (FR&M) Department in Group Risk 2nd line of defence. The role is also responsible for providing independent advice and recommendations relating to the deployment of IRRBB models.
The team have a reputation for working collaboratively, sharing and supporting best practice and constructively challenging to drive continuous improvement.
Furthermore you’ll
- Work collaboratively across multi-disciplined teams to improve effectiveness of the market risk management function.
- Build and maintain a strong stakeholder engagement program for the models with key senior Finance, Treasury and Risk staff.
- Responding appropriately to ad hoc initiatives, priority changes and regulatory changes in support of both Treasury & Financial Markets and Finance and Treasury objectives.
