ISERIES DEVELOPER - JOIN THE INNOVATIVE TEAM AT PREFERRED RISK INSURANCE SERVICES

Location: Bedford Park, IL (On-site 3 days a week w/hybrid schedule flexibility)

We are excited to welcome an iSeries Developer to our dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing and maintaining our cutting-edge insurance applications, contributing to both front-end and back-end development with a strong focus on the iSeries platform.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain iSeries code supporting various applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements, creating functional specifications for applications.
  • Conduct code reviews, perform unit testing, and coordinate with development team members on development and QA tasks.
  • Implement and maintain development standards and deployment processes and procedures.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in existing applications to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proven experience in full lifecycle delivery of complex systems, including requirements gathering, design, build, test, and deployment.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant development environments, protocols, and programming languages associated with iSeries, including RPG, CL, SQL, COBOL, and Java.
  • Understanding of Property and Casualty (P&C) insurance principles and practices.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field preferred.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
