Shine People Solutions specialises in recruiting staff for a wide variety of industries in regional and remote areas of Australia.
We are currently recruiting for an organisation who is the employment, training, and allied education services provider for the Tiwi Islands Communities.
The organisation is seeking a passionate, innovative and flexible ISO Compliance Officer based in Darwin, NT to join their team. The ISO Compliance Officer will be responsible for maintaining a secure and efficient Information Technology environment, whilst working closely with IT Support providers and management to ensure compliance with the organisations Information Technology policies.
Relocation assistance is on offer for the successful candidate, as well as 6 weeks annual leave and occasional travel to and from the Tiwi Islands.

In this role you will be responsible for the following:

  • Administering and distributing all policies and procedures that are part of the organisations Digital Information Security Strategy (DISS) and our integrated Information Security Management System (ISMS).
  • Implementing the organisations DISS across the organisation.
  • Ensuring that all the organisations’ employees work in compliance with DISS by running regular monitoring activities.
  • Facilitating DISS inductions with all the organisations employees.
  • Keeping accurate records of the activities that inform compliance with the ISMS.
  • Conducting internal audits and assess compliance with set policies.
  • Working closely with external IT providers.
  • Monitoring activities within our platforms and ensuring compliance with legislation and internal policies.

To be considered for this role you must have the following skills and experience:

  • Recent experience in a similar role with at least 2 years
  • A working knowledge of relevant legislation and policies
  • High working knowledge of ISO 27001, ISO and its relevance to operations in a large not for profit community organisation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise and execute a large workload.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Facilitation and the ability to transfer Information Security Management System knowledge to staff and other key personnel.
