JOB DESCRIPTION
Tekkie Town has an exciting opportunity for you to join our IT team as an IT Administrator within our IT Department. The main purpose of this position is to coordinate and manage all financial activities within our IT department. To be responsible for all IT supplier accounts and to ensure all IT Opex and Capex costs are managed in a cost-effective and streamlined approach. If you have a passion for finance, technology, and meticulous record-keeping, this role offers an exciting opportunity! As an IT Administrator, you will be at the heart of IT financial operations, working closely with Finance and our Head of IT.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Grade 12 (with Mathematics)
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in finance or accounting
- Proficiency in financial management software and Microsoft Excel & Google Sheets
- Previous experience in finance administration, preferably in a retail or IT environment.
- Strong reconciliation and analytical skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Proactive mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Excellent organizational, planning, project management & time management.
- Self-reliant and results-orientated
- Work well under pressure & with tight deadlines.
Responsibilities:
- Financial Data Management:
- Handle financial transactions, including quotes, invoicing, expense tracking, and reconciliations.
- Maintain accurate records of financial transactions in our accounting system.
- Collaborate with the IT team to ensure proper allocation of expenses.
- Budget Monitoring:
- Assist in budget preparation and monitor expenditure against budgeted amounts.
- Report and analyze variances.
- Provide insights to the Head of IT for informed decision-making.
- Vendor Management:
- Process vendor quotations, invoices and ensure timely payments.
- Maintain vendor records and communicate effectively with suppliers.
- Reconcile all Supplier Accounts Monthly and report to Head of IT
- Resolve any discrepancies or payment issues.
- Asset Tracking:
- Track IT assets (hardware, software licenses, etc.) and maintain an up-to-date inventory.
- Assist in asset procurement and disposal processes.
- General Administrative Support:
- Assist with ad-hoc tasks as needed by the Head of IT.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedure
