Wilson Engineers is an Arizona-based firm with a staff of more than 120 personnel specializing in water and wastewater engineering and construction management services. We are seeking an experienced IT Administrator to join our team. This position requires 40 hours per week in our Tempe office. (This job is not remote nor hybrid.)

REQUIREMENTS

  • Advanced understanding of operating systems, business applications, printing systems, and network systems.
  • Interpersonal skills: i.e., telephone skills, communication skills, active listening and customer-care.
  • Diagnosis skills of technical issues. Ability to work with third party MSP.
  • Ability to multi-task and adapt to changes quickly.
  • Technical awareness: ability to match resources to technical issues appropriately.
  • Service awareness of all organization’s key IT services for which support is being provided.
  • Understanding of support tools, techniques, and how technology is used to provide IT services.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast moving environment.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  1. Associate’s Degree
  2. Five years of experience in a client/server environment.

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Experience in the use of application of the most current technologies and products used in the industry.
  • College Degree

ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Relevant training certifications in industry topics.

Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The IT Administrator is responsible for handling first level support of service requests. This relates to all technology, to include: workstations, servers, printers, networks, and vendor specific hardware and software.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Main point of contact for any IT related service requests or needs.
  • Determine if requests can be resolved on-site or by the third-party managed service provider (MSP).
  • Coordinate hardware installations or replacements of end-user computers as required.
  • Technical support at the network level: WAN and LAN connectivity, routers, firewalls, and security.
  • System documentation maintenance and review with MSP to ensure any existing or upcoming needs are planned for.
  • Work with MSP on coordinating any application specific updates, including coordinating key users to test in the “sandbox” environment and the live rollout.
  • Basic remote access support. Fast turnaround of customer requests. Continuously provide excellent customer service, perception, and satisfaction. Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively.
  • Managing Software, Peripheral Devices, Phone Network, Cell Phone Management
  • Project Management responsibilities for things, i.e., licensing for productivity software Newforma, Bentley, Autodesk, ArcGIS, etc., to ensure license compliance and ensuring licensing is right-sized for company needs. Management for copier/printer fleet.
  • Project Management for new projects to manage complete implementation of the program to utilize the required benefits/features.
  • Coordinate training activities for staff on productivity software applications and internal initiatives such as Newforma.
