Under limited direction, the IT Application Developer II will plan and develop specialized software applications for Batteries Plus. The IT Application Developer II will analyze business and user needs in consultation with both business managers and end-users, while ensuring the best possible performance, quality, security and responsiveness of applications.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Development or related field
• 3 or more years of application development experience
• Application development experience in C#, .NET, and Entity Framework

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Software Development Certification in .NET, Microsoft SQL, or other Windows development tools
• Experience with developing software in an Agile environment
• Knowledge of Azure Cosmos DB, Search Service, Logic Apps and API Management
• Experience in and sound knowledge of design patterns such as SOLID, REST, Domain Driven Design, Microservices and Event Driven Architecture
• Experience in automated development, testing and deployment practices - GIT, Unit Testing/TDD, DevOps CI/CD Pipelines, and knowledge of ARM templates/IaC
• Hands-on experience working with creating and consuming REST APIs, Swagger/OpenAPI

• Design, build, test, deploy and maintain efficient, reusable, reliable and maintainable clean code
• Modifies existing software to correct errors or improve performance
• Write unit tests, perform code reviews and participate in scrum events, contribute to story grooming and prepare low level design specifications of the features and user stories
• Performs the software installation; ensures application operates within established specifications
• Gathers and evaluates user feedback and then modifies software for better usability
• Collaborates with business and quality analysts, architects and other programmers to design systems to support required applications
• Collaborate with team members from across the organization to develop and design optimal solutions
• Plans and prepares rollouts and communication change controls
