What is the overall job?
The IT Applications Analyst will support and maintain core business financial applications to meet business needs.
The role is crucial in bridging the gap between the finance/commercial departments and the information technology (IT) department within the organization. The primary purpose of this role is to ensure that financial systems and applications meet the business requirements of the finance/commercial teams while also aligning with the overall IT strategy of the organization.
It is a customer focused and service orientated role where the incumbent is required to promote and manage customer expectations whilst executing and managing internal delivery processes. Some key responsibilities will include:
- Perform month-end/year end related Application activities
- Amend business processes and security setup within finance applications as required
- Produce and maintain financial application support documentation
- Create/modify data migration jobs in IFS as and when required for BAU and project activities
- Provide support for incident management and integration monitoring for finance applications
- Ensuring all support queries, change requests and approvals are fulfilled through ServiceNow ensuring the right resources are engaged to remediate level 3 issues
- Ensure audit compliance requirements are fulfilled
- Provide level 1 and 2 support to end users by addressing system-related queries, issues, troubleshooting problems, and ensuring a smooth operation of financial applications
What do I need to be successful in this role?
- Solid experience working with Finance business systems
- Able to work flexible hours with teams across various global locations and time zones
- Ability to translate functional requirements into technical terms
- System implementation and/or support experience
- Previous experience of IFS Financial Application an advantage (namely Apps 10 and Cloud)
- Technical knowledge of systems e.g. basic understanding of systems architecture, SQL, database structures
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Aptitude to learn and apply new technologies and understand business processes
- Understanding of ITIL and IT Service Management processes and fram
