KEY JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES

The IT Team Leader is responsible for:

  • Manage and provide leadership for the business analysts working on development and sustainment of solutions in support of business processes while ensuring quality and scalability 2
  • Fully understands and applies the Amcor System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process when performing system modifications and ensures adherence of the process while serving as a mentor to Business Analysts
  • Lead the development of new business processes, applications, systems software, and/or enhancements to existing applications
  • Leads analysts in ensuring new software programs and applications to meet production service level agreements for availability, performance and quality
  • Evaluate new and existing applications based on functionality, usability, security, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Recommend and implement solutions that optimize application performance and meet evolving business needs.
  • Manage and maintain day to day operations and front-line business relations
  • Leads teams to establish to be solution alternatives with recommendation
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the foundation architecture diagrams for the application including landscape management
  • Manage small IT projects while effectively applying the Amcor Project Management Methodology with accountability for milestones
  • Defines and Manages project plans, project team meetings, and establish and develop project stakeholder relationships
  • Ensures projects are on time with quality and on budget
  • Build, inspire, and lead teams/individuals in alignment with the overall IT guiding principles while mentoring and developing expertise in others
  • Manage vendor relationships and oversee third-party application support contracts.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

  • 5-7 years of work experience in IT, including software development and project management experience; experience in a global environment preferred
  • Previous experience in managing direct reports.
  • Bachelor’s degree required, in computer science, management information systems, business or a related field. Master’s degree is desirable
  • Demonstrate good communication skills, team management expertise, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong understanding of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Working knowledge of end to end architecture standards involving areas of expertise
  • Agility, sound judgment, independent thinking, follow-through, and initiative
  • Energy and passion with an eye towards continuous improvement in self and business processes
  • Clear verbal and written communications; is able to translate between business and technical vocabulary easily
  • Ability to effectively work cross-functionally with a proven high level of facilitation skills in a global environment
  • Must be results orientated with the ability to prioritize and focus, respond to needs quickly and meet deadlines
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work well both independently and as a member of a team
  • Demonstrates drive, purpose, high engagement and ownership
  • Strong hardware and software skills
  • The ability to handle high volumes in a fast-paced and demanding environment
  • Language: Intermediate English level. Autonomy to express yourself in English during meetings and presentations is a plus.
  • Experience with IT service management frameworks (e.g., ITIL).

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

IT Applications Team Lead assists the IT Operations Manager in providing high quality, timely and costeffective solutions in the subject areas assigned. This role provides front line leadership to individual team members in meeting their objectives, deliverables and professional development. This position acts as a strategic bridge between information technology and business stakeholders by understanding business problems, change needs and assessing the business impact of those problems/changes. A working knowledge of the solution area, architecture and technical acumen is essential in this role.
