Description:
Reporting into the Group IT Director, you will play a critical role in ensuring the stability and reliability of business critical applications and systems, contributing to the overall success of the organization. There is a significant people management dimension in this job, in managing a high performing team of Business Analysts as well as external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop the IT applications aligned with Dairygold’s business objectives.
- Work closely with Enterprise Architecture and IT teams to provide a framework for designing and aligning people, process and technology.
- Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to analyse business processes, identify areas for improvement and recommend suitable technology or software solutions to address business challenges.
- Lead, motivate and mentor a team of IT Business Solution Analysts, promoting a culture of continuous learning and growth.
- Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders and department heads to ensure successful collaboration at strategy, policy and operational levels.
- Develop expert knowledge of the business, it’s applications and the interdependencies between systems.
- Provide Governance that aims to make applications run as smoothly and efficiently as possible, reduce interruptions and minimise the impact of any problems that occur.
- Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of Key Application and Upgrade projects, from initiation to deployment and ongoing maintenance.
- Manage post implementation optimisation with an emphasis on business benefit realisation.
- Manage relationships with application providers, negotiate contracts and ensure that external partners align with the IT strategy and security standards.
- Monitor and review service levels ensuring incident management is timely for all stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement by leveraging incident data and user feedback.
- Adopt a security first approach and build security into business processes and solutions from the start.
Requirements:
- 3rd level honours degree qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 5+ years working in business application and systems support.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to build, mentor, and lead high-performing teams.
- Proven experience in application and systems support, with a focus on incident and change management.
- Project Management expertise and the ability to manage projects effectively, ensuring timely completion and client satisfaction.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, decision making and relationship building skills.
