SKILLS
You will have:
- Proficiency in Jira Service Desk and Atlassian Confluence administration or comparable IT asset configuration and ticketing systems.
- Familiarity with accounting, supply chain, and logistics principles to organize work and assets effectively.
- Strong Excel and Power BI skills, including VBA scripting.
- The ability to analyze processes, procedures, and data.
- Strong critical thinking skills and effective communication abilities.
- Experience in web coding to support asset management systems and technical documentation systems, including JQL query building.
- A solid working knowledge of current IT technologies.
- Demonstrable knowledge of accounting, finance, marketing, and logistics.
- The ability to interpret licensing terms and conditions, licensing models, contracts, and pricing arrangements.
QUALIFICATIONS
- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or Accounting.
- A minimum of four (4) years of direct work experience in asset and inventory management, including purchasing, order processing, and managing equipment inventory procedures.
- IT Asset Management (ITAM) certification preferred, specifically CITAM certification.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Responsibilities:
- Asset Procurement: Coordinate the procurement of IT assets, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and budgetary constraints. This includes analyzing user requirements and determining applicable specifications for nonstandard or research systems.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of all IT assets, including their locations, configurations, and ownership details. Conduct regular audits to verify inventory accuracy. Implement and maintain a system for tracking the movement and status of IT assets throughout their lifecycle, from acquisition to disposal, using tools such as JAMF, SCCM, InTune and various other IT tracking systems.
- Asset Deployment: Coordinate the deployment of IT assets to end-users, ensuring timely delivery and proper configuration based on user requirements. Coordinate the disposal or decommissioning of obsolete or surplus IT assets following organizational policies and regulatory requirements. Liaise with vendors and service providers to ensure timely delivery of IT assets and resolution of any issues or concerns.
- Asset Maintenance: Collaborate with IT teams to schedule and perform regular maintenance and upgrades on IT assets to ensure optimal performance and longevity. Coordinate the repair process.
- Cybersecurity Support: Collaborate with the University’s cybersecurity team to ensure IT assets comply with security policies and standards. Assist in implementing security measures to safeguard IT assets against potential threats and vulnerabilities. Provide support during security audits and assessments, ensuring that IT assets meet regulatory and compliance requirements. Stay updated on emerging cybersecurity threats and best practices, and actively contribute to enhancing the University’s cybersecurity posture through proactive measures and continuous improvement initiatives
