IT Business Analyst

We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to elicit, facilitate and manage project scope definition, current and future state process mapping, and user story creation for requirements gathering. You will deliver precise documentation for highly complex business projects across all divisions; collecting and analyzing data from multiple sources to drive areas of improvement and/or solutions that balance technical capability, cost, and time against business needs. You are an excellent communicator with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ideally, you have a background in Finance processes.
This is a global role and you will work closely with your peer colleagues in Europe and North America to develop effective solutions via global platforms for our customers. You will support the business stakeholders together with internal teams and third parties.

What will you be doing?

• Champion collaboration of technical teams and other business partners to articulate business needs and system capabilities into detailed project scope, current and future state process maps, user stories, user acceptance criteria, user interface guides and training documentation.
• Elicit and document requirements in the form of business and data models through interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis.
• Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, and dissect high-level information into validated requirements.
• Write project documents guiding prioritized solution decisions based on business options, risks, and costs amongst complex and competing business requirements.
• Provide support to Scrum Master / Project Manager to establish sprint/project plans, identifying issues, risks, assumptions, and dependencies. Create user story backlog or requirements traceability matrices for assigned projects. Have an ability to act as product owner for smaller efforts.
• Deliver informative, well-organized presentations and reports that provide insight into business performance and are aligned to business strategy and objectives.
• Continually seek out opportunities to contribute to the business success through proactive involvement in team initiatives.

What will you need?

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or Business Administration from an accredited institution.
• 5+ years experience in a Business Analyst or similar role.
• Experience in finance functional area/processes is wished.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
• Excellent written and oral communication with all stakeholder levels.
• Advanced proficiency preparing artifacts such as requirement specifications, current & future state process maps, user stories, and training using Microsoft Office Tools.
• Excellent working knowledge of Agile methodology, business process analysis, concepts, practices, and procedures. Confidence and knowledge of emerging industry practices when solving business problems.
• Experience working with globally distributed teams.
