There is an IT Director position available in DHL Supply Chain, and it’s the ideal opportunity for someone with a strong IT and Leadership background looking to further their career and gain great senior leadership experience.
The overall purpose of this role is to lead and manage the Information Technology function of the DHL Supply Chain business in New Zealand. With digital supply chain complexity, coupled with dynamic and fast paced operational country development, this role is critical to ensuring that DHL are delivering the right IT solutions and services to further enhance the success of our business and customers. The goal is to mitigate service delivery risk and provide the necessary support and expertise to develop and maintain the IT infrastructure to meet the strategic objectives of the DHL Supply Chain Business.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• The Management and leadership of the New Zealand IT team, promoting DHLs core competencies and strategies
• Full accountability of the IT solutions and services for New Zealand DHL Supply Chain.
• The management of a program of projects, change and specialized solution support
• Drive a continuous improvement culture within their team, and initiatives within your area of influence
• Drive the development and retaining of their team
• Act as a senior point of contact for customers
• Support and grow the relationships between IT and other business sectors
• An active leader with a can-do attitude, who’s passionate about doing things the right way the first time
• Reporting to the Vice President IT in Australia, this role is part of the New Zealand DHL Supply Chain senior leadership team supporting and driving our business direction and strategy.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE?

• A strong senior leadership background with the proven ability to influence, lead and motivate across all levels and stakeholders to consistently achieve outstanding results
• An in-depth understanding of 3PL/ 4PL logistics including strong distribution centre and supply chain management skills is essential
• Strong interpersonal skills, with demonstrated strengths in relationship management and negotiation
• Proven experience in building high performing and highly engaged teams as well as growing talent through your adept coaching and mentoring skills
• 8+ years’ experience within IT, accompanied with a wide experience at senior level preferably in a logistics, transport or supply chain related business in a medium to large organisation, as well as a bachelor degree in a business discipline or relevant education.
