Description:

We are a highly successful and growing firm of accountants based in the Thames Valley, London and South of England. Our IT Department now need an additional IT Engineer to join their team in Oxford. The ideal candidate will utilise their expertise in information technologies to provide exceptional support and service to the firms employees.

Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and resolve various technical issues related to computing systems, networks, hardware, and software applications promptly and accurately.
  • Serve as an escalation point by investigating complex problems and implementing effective long-term solutions.
  • Manage various IT projects to completion, such as migrations, upgrades, integrations and other strategic initiatives to enhance our technological environment’s stability, security and functionality.
  • Provide trusted technical guidance and recommend best practices based on current technologies.
  • Collaborate with various departments and stakeholders.
  • Prepare and present training materials, documentation, reports and other correspondence using sound judgment and discretion when handling confidential data.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar technical support and project delivery role.
  • Strong analytical abilities and advanced technical knowledge.
  • An innovative, solutions-oriented professional who can adapt to a constantly evolving landscape.
  • Innate desire to expand your skills and a commitment to providing an exceptional customer experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to clearly convey technical details and concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Occasional after-hours, weekend or on-call work may be necessary.
  • Some regional travel to other offices may also be expected.
