IT Engineer - VMware - Infrastructure

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Oversee all IT operations within the Singapore office and for clients.
• Deliver helpdesk support services to end users.
• Manage server administration and network maintenance.
• Ensure optimal uptime for network infrastructure.
• Schedule data backups and monitor firewall activity.
• Configure and troubleshoot computer hardware, software, networks, printers, routers, switches, VPN, etc.
• Address server/PC viruses and spyware.
• Plan and execute scheduled maintenance upgrades.
• Conduct IT training sessions for end-users.
• Investigate and resolve computer software and hardware issues.
• Maintain accurate records of software licenses.
• Monitor information security across the organization.
• Manage inventory of equipment, consumables, and supplies.
• Provide remote support to overseas users within Asia.
• Assist in maintaining clients’ websites.
• Fulfill any other duties as assigned by Management.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Hold CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) or MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer); VCP (VMware Certified Professional) certification is highly desirable.
• Demonstrate enthusiasm for continual learning and staying updated on the latest IT trends.
• Possess a strong understanding of networks, servers, firewalls, and IT security.
• Previous experience in a system service provider role is advantageous.
• Exhibit excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Showcase strong organizational and time management skills.
• Capable of thriving in a fast-paced, culturally diverse, and team-oriented environment.
• Maintain a positive work attitude, be proactive, detail-oriented, and meticulous.
• Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision and handle tight deadlines.
• Possess exceptional communication and presentation skills. Fluency in both English and Mandarin (to communicate with Mandarin-speaking associates) is essential.
• Willingness to work additional hours when necessary.
