EDUCATION:

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related healthcare field; Master’s degree preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of ten (10) years of IT healthcare experience and a strong understanding of enterprise application development and management; and strategic leadership.
  • Proven healthcare IT experience in enterprise application management, including selection, implementation, and support.
  • Experience managing a team of developers and analysts.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise application development, architecture, best practices, and emerging trends.
  • Knowledge of healthcare technology regulations and standards, including data governance, security, and compliance principles.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other members of the executive team.
  • Proven track record of successful project management and delivering solutions within budget and on schedule.
  • Strong vendor management and negotiation skills, with experience in contract management and procurement.
  • Demonstrated experience driving digital transformation initiatives and leveraging technology to enhance business operations.

Responsibilities:

The IT Executive Director of Enterprise Applications is responsible for:

  • Develop, maintain, administer, and manage TMH enterprise applications, associated products, staff, and processes including: Electronic Health Record (Epic), ERP, portals (Infor), internal and external reporting systems, regulatory reporting, dashboards and all related systems development work.
  • Plan and manage large-scale implementation projects.
  • Maintains a highly competent staff to meet the objectives and strategies of the organization.
  • Create implementation plans for new technologies/systems in partnership with other members of the executive team, executive directors, directors and department managers.
  • Develop and promote standardization.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of enterprise application architecture.
  • Ensure that enterprise applications are developed in accordance with industry standards and best practices.
  • Manage a team of leaders, strategists, developers and analysts.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure that enterprise applications are scalable and can meet the needs of the organization.
  • Ensure that the organization is compliant with all relevant technology regulations and standards.
  • Responsible for assisting with Joint Commission requirements with respect to Enterprise Applications function.
  • Responsible for assisting with HIPAA requirements with respect to Enterprise Applications function.
  • Responsible for assisting with Patient Safety requirements with respect to Enterprise Applications function.
  • Develop and maintain a budget for enterprise application maintenance and development.
  • Enhance professional growth and development through education programs, workshops or other educational opportunities that may be presented. Keep abreast of current technologies.
  • Perform additional duties assigned
