Overview:
PepsiCo is seeking a Senior IT Lead to join our IT function and drive our digital transformation journey across our Finance function. This role will be based in Carrigaline, Cork with travel to other PepsiCo Ireland locations as required.
PepsiCo Global Concentrate Solutions (PGCS) brings the flavours of PepsiCo to life, supplying beverage and snack flavours for many of PepsiCo’s mega brands including Gatorade, 7Up and Pepsi. We are at the heart of PepsiCo products, sourcing flavour and functional ingredients to manufacture more than 1,200 concentrate recipes for our brands. Responsibilities:
In this role you will be responsible for the relationship between the Finance function and IT. This role will work with Finance functional leaders to set their digital strategy, analysing needs, identifying solutions, and developing and guiding a series of programs/projects to see them come to fruition.
To be successful, the role requires the ability to operate both at a high level (such as summary/executive reporting, story-telling and context-setting) but also technical depth and working at a detailed level with relevant technology. Guiding and influencing others in understanding complex situations and achieving success through people is key.

Primary responsibilities of this role include:

  • In partnership with PGCS Finance Leadership, defines the IT, Digital & Analytical strategies to support the overall functional goals, growth, and opportunities while addressing challenges, risks and constraints
  • Defines, estimates, plans, and develops the business case (in partnership with the Finance function) for each program ensuring ROI and benefits being realised are clearly identified
  • Drives and manages the vendor selection process to select the best fit in terms of cost / quality / resources / capability to deliver the programs. Monitors on-going vendor performance, delivery, staffing and commercial arrangements and issues
  • Coordinates input from the broader IT organisation to ensure supporting services are delivered in alignment with overall program plans
  • Architects and leads the delivery of IT, Digital & Analytical Finance programs to transform PGCS’ Finance function capabilities
  • Partners with research organisations, vendors, universities, and other third parties to continually develop his own domain knowledge and leverage this when defining strategies and programs
  • Architects and plans the delivery of other key IT enabled Finance programs to ensure alignment across overall portfolio and relative prioritisation with larger strategic programs
  • Oversee the end-to-end product development process, ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality products on time and within budget and effective transition to Operations

Qualifications:

KEY SKILLS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s degree required in IT, Accounting or equivalent qualification
  • 10+ years of related IT business work experience
  • 8+ years of experience in global SAP and other ERP implementations, experience working in and leading global teams
  • Experience in CPG industry preferred
  • Core SAP Finance (Finance, Controlling, Credit Management, BPC) solution knowledge and governance experience
  • Deep experience developing Finance Analytics, including knowledge of solutions such as SAP BW, HANA, Microsoft Power BI, along with data modelling and data governance principles / approaches
  • Experience in Financial Planning, Analysis and Budgeting, including conceptual frameworks and planning principles / approaches
  • Provides outstanding customer service skills to direct and indirect customers
  • Demonstrated vendor management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
  • Solves highly complex, politically sensitive problems across teams
  • Strong financial management experience with proven ability to manage annual budget
  • Strong management skills with the ability to develop teams and cultivate talent
  • Good interpersonal skills, professional, ability to negotiate, story-tell and set clear context – in particular with senior stakeholders
  • High levels of enthusiasm and energy and works well in a team environment.

DIFFERENTIATING SKILLS / COMPETENCIES:

  • Knowledge and experience implementing SAP Finance solutions in SAP S/4– Financials, Credit Management, BPC
  • Knowledge and experience implementing other advanced financial solutions – OpenText, TM1
  • Knowledge and experience implementing Data & Analytics solutions – OpenText, TM1
  • Strong knowledge of trends and new thinking impacting the area
