Job title: IT Helpdesk Assistant
Location: Redditch
Hours: 9am – 5pm Monday – Friday (Flexibility Required)
Pay Rate: £18,000 – £21,000
RJH Personnel are currently recruiting for an IT Helpdesk Assistant, our client is looking for an enthusiastic person that can work in a fast paced and time critical role. Polite and well-spoken with a good phone demeanour. Self-development skills are important to help yourself adapt and overcome issues that will be presented, Good self-presentation is a must.

Day to day duties will include the following:

  • Provide IT helpdesk cover
  • Technical problem solving
  • Laptop & Mobile Device Builds / Configuration
  • Business app / workflow support
  • Mobile app updates and rollouts
  • VOIP platform administration
  • Software installations
  • New user creations and managing leaver removals

As a person you will need the following qualities and experience:

  • Prior Experience in a helpdesk and service environment.
  • Microsoft Desktop OS Experience
  • Microsoft 365 Experience
  • Windows Active Directory
  • TCP/IP Networking Experience
  • Understanding of IT systems including client devices, networks, and printers
  • A knack for managing and maintaining databases
  • A confident communication style and strong organisational skills
  • A proactive, can-do attitude
  • Initiative and the drive to give everyone great service

The following qualities and experience are desirable yet not essential:

  • Experience with Sophos UTMs and Managed Services
  • Experience with 3CX and Teams VoIP
  • Experience with Mikrotik devices
  • Clean Driving Licence (+2 years’ Experience)
  • Official certifications in any IT related field will be appreciated and taken into consideration.
