Description:

BDO Ireland are seeking a skilled IT Technician to join our growing team, providing exceptional technical support both onsite and remotely.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering professional and friendly assistance to end-users while effectively managing and resolving IT incidents. This role requires a meticulous approach to logging, analysing, and prioritizing issues, ensuring timely resolution or escalation when necessary.
If you have a strong background in laptop support, application installations, Active Directory tasks, and Office 365 administration, along with a knack for providing top-notch user support across various platforms and devices, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing IT support in a professional and friendly manner both onsite and remotely.
  • Accurately log, analyse, prioritise, and solve (or escalate if required) I.T. incidents, always ensuring that the ticket is updated on the IT Helpdesk ticketing system.
  • Assist end users in the resolution of incidents using both remote-control tools and desk-side support.
  • Hardware support & maintenance (e.g. Reimaging of computers)
  • Software installations & support
  • Active Directory Tasks
  • Office 365 Setup & Administration
  • General user support for office applications, O365, Windows 10, iPhone / iPad, and Corporate Mobile device/Smart Phone Support.
  • Support and management of multi-function devices.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Minimum of 6 months’ experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven ability to communicate on various levels with peers, customers, and external parties.
  • A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365.
  • Experience in supporting Windows 10 in a corporate environment.
  • Strong desire to learn and improve skills and knowledge.
  • Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with remote-control tools and desk-side support techniques.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional) are a plus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent team player with a team-oriented mindset
