WHY WE NEED YOU

We are expanding our business at pace, and are rapidly developing our technology and geographical footprint. We’re looking for sharp, energetic and detail-oriented people passionate about managing information technology at a scaling firm. This is a key role with ownership of all IT Management.

Responsibilities:

As an IT Manager at AQMetrics, you will play a pivotal role in managing and overseeing our organization’s information technology infrastructure. You will be responsible for ensuring the stability, security, and efficiency of our IT systems, as well as driving strategic technology initiatives that align with our business goals. Our infrastructure is diverse, including AWS and a workforce based in Europe, the UK and, more recently, the US. We work both in-office and remotely. Our IT infrastructure supports our office users, software engineers and a growing team of AI specialists. Your first task will be to review the existing IT systems in place considering our recent growth and diversification. You will then formulate a joined-up IT strategy leveraging external service providers and/or build an in-house IT team to:

  • IT Infrastructure Management:
  • Manage and maintain all hardware, software, and network infrastructure.
  • Oversee server administration, data storage, and backup systems.
  • Ensure high availability and reliability of IT resources.
  • Cybersecurity and Data Protection:
  • Develop and implement cybersecurity policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and respond to security threats and incidents.
  • Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments.
  • Budget Management:
  • Develop and manage the IT department budget.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining service quality.
  • Procure hardware, software, and services as needed.
  • Strategic Planning:
  • Collaborate with senior management to align IT strategies with business objectives.
  • Identify emerging technology trends and recommend solutions to build a quality and modern platform that scales, ensuring the architecture fits the business problem.
  • Develop and execute long-term IT plans.
  • Vendor Management:
  • Evaluate and select external vendors and service providers to cover operations in Europe, the UK and the USA.
  • Negotiate contracts and manage vendor relationships.
  • Ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met.
  • User Support:
  • Ensure there is the availability of technical support to employees, troubleshoot issues, and ensure timely resolution in Europe, the UK and the USA.
  • Foster a customer-centric IT support culture.
  • Compliance and Reporting:
  • Ensure IT operations comply with relevant regulations and standards in the US, UK and European locations.
  • Prepare and present reports to senior management on IT performance and initiatives.
