Description:
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION:
- Technical diploma in IT, a Bachelor degree would be considered an advantage.
- Min. 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Must possess an understanding of network administration.
- Background in server management and software installations and upgrades.
- Customer service skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of current products and services available and applicable to LAN/WAN and data communications systems.
- Wanting to learn and interested in IT security
- Fluency in English is required.
Responsibilities:
- Manage daily tasks (change, incident, troubleshooting…).
- Ensure the integrity, security and solid performance of the network infrastructure.
- Collaborate and coordinate with internal support teams and give timely reports to the management.
- Maintain current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned (e.g; ISE, DNA, Fortinet, Zscaler, WAF …).
- Provide level 2/3 support (security and network equipment).
- Perform incidents resolution and follow-up, problems identification and analysis, once reached level L3 support.
- Participate in continuous improvement of the overall production environment and write appropriate guidelines where required.
- Support Cargolux general services and network support on specific tasks.
- Take the necessary action required, fixing user problems indicated in the L2 or Service Desk calls. These problems may be hardware related, software related or even user manipulation errors that cannot be detected by the L2 or Service Desk officers.
- Ensure 24/7 support of business-critical system by integrating the on-call escalation team (on a rotation scheme).
- Demonstrated knowledge of current products and services available and applicable to LAN/WAN and data communications systems.
- Maintain the health and performance of firewalls.
- Capable of analysing Firewalls security logs and able to do advance troubleshooting.
- Configure, install, design and maintain the network equipment as well as the network security infrastructure.
- Install, test, evaluate new equipment.
- Evaluate network performance including availability, utilization, and latency.
- Create, review and update network procedures, documentation, diagrams.
- Guarantee that network security best practices are executed through auditing: router, change control, switch, firewall configurations, and monitoring.
