IT PROJECT MANAGER JOB DESCRIPTION

Our Site Services Business Unit wishes to recruit a Project Manager to be based on a customer site in Cork Area, reporting to the Client IT Manager.
The Project Manager will be the single point of contact for delivery of IT projects. The Project Manager will be expected to engage with stakeholders at all levels of projects and actively participate in all stages of the project to ensure goals are achieved.

REQUIREMENTS

  • BS in Engineering, Computer Science, or other technical degree. MS in Computer Science or related field/MBA would be a plus
  • 8 or more years of experience in project/automation/IT support/Pharmaceutical Manufacturing front line supervision.
  • Proven record of proficiencies associated with business analysis on small sized projects.
  • Preferably high-level Knowledge on ITIL and DevOps practices
  • Must be self-motivated and capable of managing multiple priorities and tasks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong problem solving and technical innovation skills
  • Excellent presentation and facilitation skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Project Management Skills
  • Ability to plan, organise and manage complex projects from initiation to completion, including defining scope, timelines and resource allocation
  • Facilitate planning sessions
  • Keep track of key dates
  • Change Management Skills
  • Skill in developing change management strategies to facilitate changes and oversee change requests to their completion
  • Communication
  • Promote visibility of goals and priorities
  • Facilitate team meetings (such as stand-ups, project status meetings)
  • Record and track decisions and agreements
  • Daily ops
  • Provide direction and support to a pool of engineers to ensure people have the adequate support and skills to deliver in their role
  • Work on impediments (communication and focus)
  • Coordinate required tasks for development of Knowledge Management discipline
  • Coach and provide mentorship to the team to improve their performance
  • Reporting
  • Report on project progress & impediments
  • Measure team’s capacity
  • Measure team’s throughput
