We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing complex information systems and web design and development projects. They will manage the all the aspects of entire IT project work, including planning, organizing, and coordinating the work of a team of developers, designers, and other stakeholders to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the desired level of quality.

EXPERIENCE WITHIN THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Defining project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Developing and maintaining a detailed project plan, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
  • Coordinating and managing the work of the development team, including assigning tasks, setting priorities, and monitoring progress.
  • Ensuring that the project adheres to established standards and best practices for web development, including coding standards, accessibility, and usability.
  • Communicating regularly with stakeholders to provide updates on project progress, budget, resource plans, risks, and issues, systems operations and sustainment.
  • Conducting regular reviews and quality assurance checks to ensure that the project meets the desired level of quality.
  • Develop and submit an annual plan for NIA website enhancement and development projects.
  • Ensure that the NIA websites are functioning properly and reliably and meet the up-time standards of the Service Level Agreement (SLA).
  • Establish and maintain appropriate security measures to protect the integrity of the websites, their content, and related data files.

Requirements:

  • Managing IT projects requires strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills, as well as a deep understanding of web development technologies and best practices.
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • At least 2-3 years of experience managing complex information systems and web design and development projects.
  • Excellent communications (both written and spoken) including customer support.
