Description:

MUST HAVE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

  • IT knowledge to understand system design and facilitate troubleshooting and communication with other IT teams
  • Experience in service management, change management, and/or incident management
  • IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) knowledge
  • Knowledge and/or experience in cloud-based infrastructure (ideally AWS)
  • Strong team player with good interpersonal skills
  • Proactive and delivery focussed
  • Hands-on experience in the software development lifecycle
  • Strong command of English

NICE TO HAVE SKILLS /EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience in performing IT Service Owner role
  • Experience with SecDevOps tooling
  • Skills and experience in infrastructure design, implementation, and maintenance
  • Familiarity with Git, Jenkins, Nexus, etc.
  • Experience with Performance testing and capacity management

Responsibilities:

ROLE- IT SERVICE MANAGER

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The role holder is responsible for the overall set of wide-ranging capabilities which include:

  • Understand how our services work, their infrastructure, and their value to the business.
  • Manage the release process with the team to ensure all necessary procedures are followed.
  • Handle incident management and provide support for production issues.
  • Make sure all operational data is documented correctly and meets non-functional requirements.
  • Keep an eye on service performance using monitoring tools and take proactive steps as needed.
  • Coordinate infrastructure activities like updates, migrations, and testing.
  • Work with solution architects to implement changes to infrastructure services.
  • Communicate with stakeholders, both within the business and IT, to address any service-related questions.
  • Collaborate with product and delivery leads to prioritize projects.
  • Take charge of ongoing maintenance tasks to keep services running smoothly.
  • Ensure all services meet group infrastructure standards, including accurate service models, reviewed OLAs, and compliance with data governance.
  • Maintain and test service continuity plans regularly.
