Description:

OVERVIEW:

Charter is currently seeking one (1) experienced IT Solution Architect for projects starting August 2024. Working within a team, the ideal resource will have 8+ years of Solution Architect experience creating/implementing technical strategies, ensuring the alignment of technology solutions with business objectives, and addressing complex technical challenges. Strong experience evaluating/integrating new technology architectures into existing systems, implementing security solutions, and developing technology solutions aligning with standard and policies is required. Previous experience with disaster recovery and business continuity plans in a healthcare environment is also required. Location: Vancouver BC (Hybrid). Term: Ten (10) months. High possibility of extensions. Candidates must reside in Canada for the duration of the project.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

8+ years of Solution Architect experience creating and implementing technical strategies, ensuring the alignment of technology solutions with business objectives, and addressing complex technical challenges.
Experience evaluating /integrating new technology architectures into existing systems.
Experience implementing security solutions.
Experience developing technology solutions aligning with standard and policies.
Experience with disaster recovery and business continuity plans in a healthcare environment.
Experience conducting technical quality assurance audits and post-implementation reviews.
Experience collaborating with business leaders and external stakeholders.
Education: active industry certifications (i.e., TOGAF) would be an asset.
Excellent communication (written and verbal) in English is required.
Must be authorized to work in Canada.

Responsibilities:

Assesses current Enterprise systems, makes recommendations, and oversees the implementation.
Identifies opportunities to enhance services and/or reduce operational costs.
Designs, develops, implements, and maintains utilities and layered products designed to support systems management, security reporting, queue management, operations.
Conducts technical quality assurance audits and post-implementation reviews for projects and maintenance of custom applications.
Develops client support, hardware, software, and infrastructure standards to ensure service quality and integration into standards.
Establishes and maintains change control procedures for Data Center infrastructure technology upgrades and business application software migrations.
Plans, research, and analyzes Technology Solutions related to disaster recovery, business resumption procedures and security compliance; develops recovery procedures and test plans and leads testing.
Reviews and assesses current infrastructure technology products and liaises with service providers to resolve issues and find solutions related to improving the current Data Center.
