JOB DESCRIPTION:

In order to support our Digital Connected Aircraft Platforms Team, Airbus Commercial Aircraft in Hamburg is looking for an IT Solution Architect - Digital Connected Aircraft Platforms (d/f/m) .
Our team is the digital partner for the connected Aircraft Business Line as a part of the extended engineering together with System Engineering and Cabin & Cargo Engineering.
In this sense we are tasked to take a key role in the Connected Aircraft business ambition, with strong growth objectives. Our activities today are mainly driven by the enablement of Flight Ops, Fleet Efficiency and Skywise Predictive maintenance, Cabin & Cargo Businesses like In Flight Entertainment & Connectivity enablement or Ground Ops within Airspace Link, iCMP and HBC+ initiatives.
The main responsibilities of this role will be for Solutions Architecture activities and deliverables and to be the technical authority of the development and deployment of the associated end-to-end Digital solutions.
This role is also available with reduced weekly hours and an adapted scope of tasks.

DESIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• You hold a degree in information technology or have a comparable qualification and bring hands-on software development experience
• You bring strong technical experience and knowledge in the following areas:
• Embedded kubernetes (e.g. K3s)
• Cloud kubernetes (e.g. EKS)
• Connectivity (e.g. WiFi, Cellular, Satcom)
• You can demonstrate success in delivering IT projects
• You are knowledgeable in agile techniques such as user stories, continuous integration, test-driven development, continuous testing, and automated testing
• You have initial experience in UX methodologies
• You bring knowledge in solution architecture, UNIX, virtualization, and cloud technologies
• You have exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills that allow you to build trustful relationships
• You bring a strong business acumen and a good understanding of digital services operations

EXPERIENCE LEVEL:

Professional

• You will prove the value of new technologies to establish a business case and you are going to update the company guidelines and policies regarding the use of a specific technology or methodology
• You will drive the update of the learning framework based on the known technology.
• You will advise on specific topics related to the technology and/or methodology.
• You will monitor technology and/or methodology trends and support the teams to apply these within the Airbus Environment.
• You will guide and support the selection of the appropriate technologies and/ or methodologies.
• You will monitor technological trends and use this knowledge to bring solutions to business units supported to enhance the enterprise’s competitive edge.
• You will be able to make recommendations for buy versus build decisions.
• You will manage Solutions Architecture activities and deliverables.
