Description:
Stillwater Sciences seeks a highly motivated network and desktop support specialist to serve as a member of our IT department supporting an inter-disciplinary team of scientists and engineers working across seven physical offices. We are a small IT department so there is an opportunity to be involved in all aspects of our IT needs from end-user/desktop support to network and systems administration. The IT Specialist II will generally work regular business hours; however, some weekend and evening work may occasionally be necessary. Some overnight travel to other offices is occasionally required. This position will be in-office for the first 3 months with the potential to be hybrid after 3 months. (A hybrid schedule is not guaranteed and will be based on business needs.)
QUALIFIED APPLICANTS SHOULD POSSESS:
- 5+ years desktop support / network administrator experience
- Demonstrated experience with prioritizing tasks and requests.
- Excellent follow-through and customer service skills
- Organized and efficient approach
- Proven time-management skills
- Comfortable working in and assisting others through remote access.
- Experience working with Windows 11
- General understanding of networking technology (firewall, routers, switches)
- Experience with AutoCAD and BIM 360 management a plus.
- Experience with Windows Server and Active Directory.
- Experience installing and configuring computer systems and applications in an enterprise environment.
- Proven ability to offer high-level desktop support in an enterprise environment.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively to meet the technology needs at Stillwater Sciences
- Experience with Microsoft 365 Administrative tools (Intune, Autopilot, Defender)
- Experience with NIST 800-171 compliance a plus
