Responsibilities:
- Prioritising, under the guidance of the Head of IT, tickets escalated from our managed service provider.
- Responsible for the smooth running of computer systems and IT services to ensure our staff and learners have a positive experience with IT.
- Installing/Configuring computer hardware operating systems and applications.
- Supporting staff, face-to-face, on Teams or by email.
- Troubleshooting system and network problems and diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults
- Providing support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports
- Following diagrams and written instructions to repair a fault or set up a system
- Supporting the roll-out of new applications
- Setting up new user accounts and hardware.
- Keeping up to date with technology trends.
- Ensuring an understanding of cyber security.
- Establish a good working relationship with staff and external suppliers.
- Escalate any issues or concerns to the Head of IT.
- Whilst this role will be primarily based at our Head Office, occasional travel to other LCG sites will be required
