Description

What you’ll do:

  • Take ownership and demonstrate accountability and integrity in all that you do, while providing a clear direction forward.
  • Oversee a civerse team comprising both local and offshore members
  • Lead an ITIL approach to Service Support and Delivery.
  • Take the initiative to cultivate connections with essential leaders and personnel.
  • Develop processes and supporting documentation to drive a 1st touch closure environment
  • Collaborate with Application Support teams for technical expertise and process improvements.
  • Offer guidance and constructive feedback to enhance team performance levels.
  • Serve as the escalation point for desktop/laptop support.
  • Assist with backup procedures and general IT maintenance.
  • Maintain IT asset inventory and update documentation.
  • Facilitate communication with third-party vendors and help desk ticket management
  • Prepare weekly reports to GM IT identifying major issues, developments and KPI tracking
  • Managing the after-hours support and being available for urgent escalations during these hours

QUALIFICATIONS

What you will have:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a helpdesk support space with 2 years in a leadership space.
  • Hold advanced working knowledge of desktop/laptop hardware, printers & peripherals including an advanced working knowledge of Windows and the MS Office suite.
  • Expert knowledge of job ticketing and queue management systems
  • Proven experience as a leader focused on collaboration, innovation and communication.
  • Ability to effectively liaise with internal & external customers for all IT queries, via telephone, email and in person while building great relationships and demonstrating a high attention to detail.
  • Excellent organisation & planning skills in managing a personal workload in a busy environment with conflicting demands.
