About us
The Portable Long Service Authority (the Authority) is a self-funded statutory body established to administer the Long Service Benefits Portability Act 2018. The Act, together with the Long Service Benefits Portability Regulations 2020 provide a Portable Long Service Benefits Scheme. The Authority plays an important role in allowing workers in the community services, contract cleaning and security industries to build up long service benefits based on time in their industry rather than with a single employer. About the role

The IT Support Officer will report to the Senior IT Officer and work alongside the IT team to ensure excellent service delivery to external stakeholders and clients, provide hardware and software support, coordinate IT training, and support internal staff with IT needs. Key responsibilities include;

  • Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and management of systems and devices for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop documentation, training materials, and guides to support the use of technology.
  • Facilitate and assist in the rollout of new hardware and software.
  • Conduct training sessions on both new and existing software applications to ensure users are getting value from the available technology.
  • Manage relationships and work effectively with outsourced service providers, such as Cenitex.
  • Use initiative to anticipate potential issues, make suggestions, and share ideas

About you
Our ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills along with the initiative to ensure technical problems are managed efficiently and effectively. You will have demonstrated experience in a variety of technologies, including Microsoft Office 360 and web-based systems. The IT Support Officer will need excellent interpersonal and communication skills to support all levels of the organisation with ICT needs, troubleshooting and requests.
