THE OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking a talented IT Support Technician to assist the IT Support and Systems Administration Specialist with troubleshooting, services, and repairs of a wide variety of computing hardware, software, telecommunications and audio/visual equipment.
EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS
- Qualification in IT, networks, computer science, systems engineering or related discipline.
- Ability to identify routine problems and seek guidance when developing solutions.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills (both written and verbal) and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while working to schedule commitments.
- Demonstrated strong work ethic and the ability to work in a team environment.
- Australian Citizen in order to hold or eligibility to obtain an Australian Security Clearance to Secret level.

Responsibilities:
- Respond to or assist with service requests and provide technical support and problem resolution.
- Service computing hardware, software, telecommunications and audio/visual equipment.
- Gather and document system requirements and user needs.
- Document system events and maintain support logs and issue tracking.
- Assist users in understanding basic system operations.
- Perform or assist with initial system configuration and setup.
- Install desktop computers, peripheral equipment, and software.
- Assist with troubleshooting and periodic hardware maintenance.
- Other duties as directed by Director Business Services and Insitu IT.
