Description:

An IT Support Technician – Level 1 is an entry-level position that requires two years of experience with Windows and Apple hardware and software. This position is responsible for preparing Microsoft Windows and Mac OSX devices for deployment to Intapp end users. This documented process will require a successful candidate to follow instructions, manage service requests and incidents, install devices on site, and assist with remote configurations.
This position requires interaction with Intapp users in person, over the phone, and via email. Therefore, a successful candidate must possess excellent communication skills and be comfortable interacting with end users, answering questions, addressing concerns, and finding solutions to issues that arise.

What you will do:

  • Prepare new systems for implementation and coordinate installation with the end user.
  • Update the appropriate inventory systems to reflect the system’s current state.
  • Communicate issues, critical problems, and situations to the appropriate management levels.
  • Support the maintenance and collection of staff computing resources, including laptops and other devices.
  • Perform routine maintenance on IT devices, including software updates, imaging, and light repairs.
  • Provide top-tier IT support for staff, including software installation support, hardware troubleshooting, and break-fix support.
  • Provide conference support when needed.
  • Assist with inventory tracking and documentation processes.
  • Coordinate with other IT teams in multiple locations to escalate issues as needed.
  • Support end users remotely as well as in person.
  • Respond to assigned work in the ticketing system and maintain accurate and timely documentation of progress in the work order database.
  • Promote the creation of knowledge base entries that customers and IT team members can use.
  • Compete for new installations on schedule and with minimal rework.
  • Update and manage all assigned work order tickets promptly, at least daily.
  • Follow the documented instructions for provisioning new equipment or recharging existing equipment essentials.

What you will need:

  • Excellent communication skills – Ability to communicate with various levels of staff to understand the issue.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office desktop and O365 suite of applications
  • Experience with video conferencing software such as Zoom and MS Teams
  • Strong work ethic, professional attitude, and good appearance
  • Some experience with Microsoft Windows and Apple OSX
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks and adjust priorities according to the new work assigned.
  • Work independently and with little direct supervision.
  • Self-motivated to improve both personally and professionally.
  • Possess the ability to understand and follow instructions
  • Must have the ability to lift and carry 50 pounds, as well as the ability to route cables under desks and around furniture.
  • CompTIA A+ certification is an advantage
