Job Title: IT Support Technicial (Part-Time)
Role Type: Part-Time, Office based in South Dublin (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday)
Contract type: 12 Months

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in an IT role, with a strong background in IT infrastructure, network administration, and information security.
  • Expertise in project management, information analysis, and computer hardware/software systems.
  • Proven experience in data management and information security procedures.
  • Hands-on experience with computer networks, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • A self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and influence others positively.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and attention to detail skills.
  • Experience in process automation/improvement and implementation is a plus

Responsibilities:

ROLE SUMMARY:

As an IT Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing our IT infrastructure, ensuring seamless operations and data security for our team of approximately 50 employees. You will oversee the day-to-day IT operations, work closely with our outsourced IT service provider, and implement stringent information security measures to safeguard our sensitive data.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Day-to-Day ITC:

  • Manage and maintain IT infrastructure, equipment, and services for our staff and office facilities within budget.
  • Liaise effectively with the outsourced IT service provider to oversee their monitoring and maintenance of IT systems and networks, ensuring optimal performance.
  • Review, implement, and update IT and information security (InfoSec) policies and procedures, ensuring comprehensive documentation and adherence to best practices.
  • Provide ad hoc IT support and assist with project requirements as needed.
  • Effectively communicate IT changes and updates to staff.

Information Security:

  • Oversee and control all aspects of information security within the organization, collaborating with our external Information Security Advisor.
  • Develop and implement security measures to protect data from unauthorized access, corruption, theft, and cyberattacks.
  • Monitor and manage the implementation of security recommendations arising from information security reviews and audits.
  • Continuously improve and harden our information security posture, including utilizing O365 and other relevant technologies.
  • Oversee and manage our infosec awareness training program to ensure staff is well-equipped to handle security threats.
  • Collaborate with the outsourced IT service provider and Information Security Advisor to address information security aspects of projects.
  • Review, implement, and update information security policies and procedures, ensuring their effectiveness and alignment with industry standards.
  • Develop and manage business continuity planning and response procedures to protect against disruptions and disasters.
