Description:
JOIN US AT THE RETAIL TRUST.
As the charity for everyone in retail, our cause is to create, hope and health and happiness for everyone in retail. Yes, that’s right, everyone. That’s more than three million retail colleagues and their families. And you can help to achieve that mission.
We’re on a journey of transformation, building on what our founders developed 190 years ago and are moving at astronomical pace. We’re looking for individuals who possess high energy and passion, and are all-in, collaborative and forward-thinking. The opportunity for personal and professional growth is momentous.
6 MONTH TEMPORARY CONTRACT (WITH POSSIBILITY OF BECOMING PERMANENT)
We are looking for a proactive and self-motivated IT Support Officer, on a six month basis, to support the operation of the Trust, ensuring that all our colleagues have everything they need
The IT Support Officer plays a vital role in ensuring new starters and users have the necessary resources for effective and disruption-free work. You’ll assist with the configuration and optimisation of IT hardware, provide training, and develop user guides to empower end users. You will work with our IT infrastructure partner to provide hands-on support with hardware-related issues.
As part of your role, you’ll be responsible for ordering, coordinating safe delivery, and (remotely) setting up IT equipment for users, as well as carrying out IT inductions for new starters and reviewing workstation assessments. Where appropriate, you’ll be expected to offer in-person support for hardware issues at our six UK locations and therefore some adhoc travel will be required.
REQUIREMENTS:
You’ll be customer focused and able to communicate technical concepts to end users with limited technical knowledge. You’ll have proven analytical and troubleshooting skills to identify causes and possible solutions. Educated to Diploma level or higher in the field of Computer Science is desirable as is a service management certification, such as ITIL. Relevant, current experience in Microsoft 365 certification is essential. You’ll be experienced and proficient in Microsoft software, video conferencing technologies and remote/virtual desktop.
If you are passionate about delivering top-notch support and contributing to user empowerment, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity and become an integral part of our team
