Our client is a Global Technology Manufacturer and leader in innovative Technologies.
Through expansion of their IT Business Unit and digital transformation project, they are looking to hire an experienced System Administrator with demonstrable Cloud environment experience.
Living in the Frankfurt Germany area, you will be required to work 3 days per week in their Frankfurt Head Office.

Role:

  • As an experienced system administrator in a innovative and dynamic environment at our German branch, your role entails a variety of daily tasks aimed at ensuring the seamless operation of customer systems.
  • Additionally, you will be responsible for offering guidance and evaluating engaging projects.
  • Effective communication within the team and with our international clients is integral to your responsibilities, as is providing regular reports to relevant managers.
  • We place great importance on our employees’ commitment to ongoing training to ensure our competitiveness.
  • Your tasks will encompass system maintenance, service updates, database upkeep, and the expansion and transformation of our system landscape.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing Unix/Linux and MS Windows servers and associated services.
  • Installing and configuring web applications and database servers to meet customer specifications.
  • Deploying customer applications according to provided guidelines.
  • Establishing and overseeing Oracle, MySQL, or MSSQL database systems.
  • Monitoring, analyzing, and reporting on server infrastructure performance and capacity.
  • Upholding system and application integrity and security by rigorously implementing internal security protocols.
  • Providing regular reports in accordance with the appropriate escalation level, following problem management metrics.

Experience Required:

  • Completed studies in Computer Science or equivalent qualifications.
  • 5 years of professional experience as a system administrator.
  • Proficiency in working within an international, multicultural company.
  • Strong expertise in at least one of the following operating systems: RHEL, MS Windows Server 2012, 2016, or 2019.
  • Profound administration knowledge in MSSQL, MySQL, or Oracle DB.
  • Excellent familiarity with VMware vSphere and shared storage systems.
  • Knowledge of DNS, LDAP, AD, Remote Services, and SSH.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud computing platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Programming or scripting skills.
  • Effective troubleshooting abilities.
  • Understanding of network protocols such as TCP and firewall configurations.
  • Strong English language skills (spoken and written), with knowledge of German as a plus.
  • Capability to work collaboratively in a team and complete tasks in a structured manner.

Package / Offer:

  • Fixed Salary : € 55,000 - € 70,000

Applicants must be currently living in the Frankfurt Germany area, and happy to be office based 3 days per week.
