Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of Information Technology work experience..
  • 5+ years of experience maintaining and supporting windows systems in an enterprise environment, including AD, Exchange, Hyper-V, Linux and MAC would be an asset.
  • Strong knowledge of LAN/WAN systems, firewalls, VPN, SonicWALL.
  • Strong knowledge of SAS deployments using Microsoft remote desktops services (RDS).
  • Application support including VoIP, M365, JIRA
  • Experience with information security management frameworks.
  • Dedicated, and well organized, able to effectively plan and manage multiple projects.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Additional Desired Skills & Qualifications

  • Supporting Data center and Cloud operations, including AWS.
  • Performance and availability monitoring platforms, including Nagios, Site24x7.
  • Familiar with security standards, GDPR, NIST 800.
  • Experience with vulnerability testing, penetration testing, security audits

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

As the IT Systems Administrator, you will be solely responsible for ensuring reliable and secure operation of global IT infrastructure including employee systems and data centres. If you are excited about a challenging and dynamic opportunity, the IT Systems Administrator position at DDS is a diverse role to apply and develop your skills in multiple disciplines within an international SaaS company.
Reporting to the VP of IT and Operations, you will maintain and support both physical, and virtual infrastructure, including support for remote employees and contractors. This role requires extensive knowledge of Windows platforms and technologies - a strong background in cloud infrastructure is a bonus.
The IT Systems Administrator will have excellent communication and collaboration skills, proven professional experience and a detailed knowledge of IT security best practices.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure secure, reliable operation of networks, servers, hardware, and applications.
  • Maintain corporate systems including Active Directory, Office 365, Teams, SharePoint
  • Onboarding and management of employee systems, devices, and accounts.
  • Manage IT ticketing systems, ensure timely resolution of support cases.
  • Manage and maintain IT infrastructure, Windows servers, Hyper-V, SANs, firewalls, switches, VLANS
  • Maintain secure operations, and best practices, including security awareness training, network/firewall security, end point protection.
  • Plan and implement services and technologies to improve security and efficiency.
  • Maintain and implement IT policies and procedures including backup, disaster recovery, identity management, data access and security.
  • Prepare and maintain IT policy documents, standards, and system diagrams.
  • Maintain vendor relationships, and IT contracts.
  • Participates in after-hours work if required.
