Description:

SUNSEEKER RESORT CHARLOTTE HARBOR IS CURRENTLY SEARCHING FOR AN IT TECHNICIAN!

The IT Technician is responsible for supporting an enterprise production infrastructure that includes both on premise and Cloud components, including but not limited to, Windows servers, VMWare, Active Directory, Identity Management, Firewall and VPN Services, and Windows Terminal Services. Will participate in deployment of IT projects and systems including software, hardware, and licensing.
All duties are performed in accordance with department and Sunseeker Resorts policies, practices and procedures.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Combination of Education and Experience will be considered. Sunseeker Resorts performs criminal background checks on all candidates. Candidates will need to be authorized to work in the US as defined by the Immigration Act of 1986.   • Minimum 2+ years’ experience in an Information Technology role
  • Experience in a hotel, resort, or similar setting is a plus

OTHER MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and other IT Systems
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to function well under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet established deadlines
  • Must possess mature personal discretion and sound judgment
  • Strong leadership abilities, sound judgment, superior problem solving and decision-making skills

Responsibilities:

  • Support a wide range of IT functions from system deployment, testing, and implementation to daily operational system support
  • Day to day overview of server and storage environment and work to create proactive changes in support of KPIs
  • Resolve incidents affecting the operation/availability of high-profile production systems.
  • Install, configure, and maintain servers running Microsoft Windows Server/Desktop OS and Microsoft Azure/O365 troubleshooting.
  • Handle and coordinate both on-premises and cloud server and storage infrastructure
  • Analyze system performance indicators and recommend improvement actions
  • Assist with migrations / installations / upgrades of operating systems and other applications on-premises and in the public cloud
  • Document assigned projects to ensure appropriate support
  • Participate in enterprise Disaster Recovery / Business Continuity Recovery planning and offsite system recovery exercises
  • Resolution of 3rd level application, hardware, and system support issues
  • Assist with GPOs’ and Active Directory
  • Follow all standards, policies, and security/audit procedures for application servers, including baseline standards, repeatable build, and best practices
  • Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support
  • Provides input to the overall architecture, operational governance model
  • Educates internal and external users on the technologies to continually improve the knowledge and skill-base of the organization on how to operate and support the technology services
  • Participates in the evaluation and selection of service products
  • Supports analysis of the current environment to detect critical deficiencies and recommends solutions for improvement
  • Develop and document test plans, implementation plans, and project timelines for assigned projects
  • Initiates, supports, and monitors all aspects of the IT Ticket Management Solution for Sunseeker
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
