  • This position is primarily remote but will be required to be in office two times a month for collaboration working sessions

Job Summary:
The ITSM Developer III is a member of the IT Service Management team and is responsible for operational support of Exeter IT’s ITSM tool. This role is collaborative, requiring continuous interaction with multiple internal stakeholders related to configuration, testing, implementation, and overall stakeholder satisfaction. The ITSM Developer III maintains operations by performing requirements gathering and analysis, solution design, development task management, quality assurance, and release management.

Job Duties:

  • Support Exeter’s ITSM tool by managing site and workflow creation, providing user training, managing system configuration, and managing user/role/group provisioning and maintenance. Provide support through backup and restoring the tool as needed.
  • Develop and maintain ITSM tool workflows, forms, catalogs, business rules, UI components, web services, tables, menus, Client Scripts, UI Scripts, ACLs, UI Pages and Scripted REST/SOAP APIs.
  • Evaluates and escalate performance issues, unresolvable incidents and service interruptions to ITSM tool technical support.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of documentation of the ITSM knowledge database.
  • Perform quality assurance (QA) testing and facilitates user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Mentor less experienced developers. Establishes and maintains relationships with internal stakeholders. Other duties as assigned.

Education and Work Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Four to six (4-6) plus years of working knowledge in an IT enterprise.
  • Five (5) plus years of experience with Service now development.
  • Proficient experience developing and configuring ITSM Pro and ITOM.
  • Service Now Certified System Administrator certification required.
  • Advanced knowledge and experience working in the Agile development methodology.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio.
  • Excellent attention to detail with a focus on continuous service improvement.
  • Advanced knowledge of relational databases and SQL.
  • Ability to think analytically to identify gaps and to apply systems thinking.
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision, seeking direction as appropriate
  • Able to execute tasks in a rapidly changing environment and be able to work on multiple applications simultaneously.
