We have an opportunity for an IT End User Support Intern (Jahrespraktikum) to join The Boeing Company’s IT&DA group to provide real-time IT operational support to end users, programs, and projects.
Based out of Neu Isenburg the role will be responsible to perform a different type of support of technical systems and end-user support working as a part of local IT team. Intern will provide support in install, configure, and maintain multiplatform systems hardware, software, and components. Will also be part of IT Global projects as needed. Mentor from local IT team will be assigned to the person to provide initial education on a system and processes.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Have interest in Information Technology and some hands-on IT experience.
- Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for end-user devices
- Customer focused with good customer service skills.
- Dynamic and proactive attitude
- Flexibility and adaptability to handle new and unfamiliar topics.
- High level of energy, enthusiasm and passion.
- Excellent German and basic English oral and written communication skills
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will perform the following duties:
- Basic knowledge of end-user desktops/laptops and mobile devices.
- Analyze computing requirements and system needs.
- Install, configure, maintain systems hardware, software and components after initial education from local mentor.
- Perform basic incident management and resolves hardware, software and configuration problems with systems, and when needed, escalation to the appropriate group.
- Execute asset change tasks and reflect such changes in appropriate databases.
- Ensure security and policy compliance while performing technical tasks.
- Participate in regional and cross-regional technical meetings.
- Contribute updates to technical documentation, procedures and process definitions.
- Work closely with other professionals in Boeing IT, seek and receive functional guidance as needed for above-mentioned responsibilities to meet business requirements.
The IT End User Support Intern reports to the Manager of the group and receives functional guidance from Technical Leads.
