As a Procurement specialist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of their supply chain and procurement processes. Working closely with a team of experts in both the automotive and medical sectors, you will contribute to the sourcing and acquisition of high-quality components, materials, and equipment essential for their innovative solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan monthly orders, issue purchase orders, and manage inventory to ensure smooth procurement operations.
  • Coordinate delivery schedules with Japanese suppliers to ensure timely receipt of goods and services.
  • Negotiate contracts and prices with vendors, leveraging Japanese language skills for effective communication.
  • Evaluate supplier performance and foster strong vendor relationships to uphold quality standards.
  • Monitor market trends and proactively source alternative Japanese suppliers when necessary.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast demand and optimize supply chain efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate records of procurement transactions and activities in compliance with company policies.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding procurement processes, ensuring regulatory compliance.
    A little about you…

To excel in this role, you should possess the following attributes:

  • Proficiency in Japanese language, enabling effective communication with Japanese headquarters. Fluency is beneficial but not mandatory.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred, although not obligatory.
  • Demonstrated experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills, particularly in diverse business settings.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional organizational and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Proficiency in utilizing procurement software and the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Comprehensive understanding of supply chain best practices and industry trends, particularly in Japanese markets.
  • Access to personal transportation is preferred.
