ROLE DESCRIPTION

UST is a leading global digital transformation organisation. In Australia, we are seeking a passionate and experienced Java Backend Developer to join a high performing client team based within one of Asia Pacific’s top ranked financial institutions.

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:

• Take part in the end-to-end solution delivery.
• Design and build clean, efficient, robust and reliable solutions that deliver to our Customers and our future state.
• Share responsibility towards improving quality, modernising our stack, continuous delivery, production support and above all, you’ll bring a genuine passion for helping us grow and develop our DevOps principles.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL HAVE:

• 5+ years Software development and delivery experience.
• Agile mindset and an impressive software engineering track record across a range of technologies.
• Practical experience in Core and Enterprise Java version 8 and beyond.
• 2+ years of practical experience with Spring and Spring Boot.
• Event and message-orientated platforms (Kafka).
• Exposure to highly transactional message-based systems, complex event processing and microservices architectures covering batch, real-time, synchronous and asynchronous patterns.
• Experience in data structures and algorithms.
• Experience of AWS infrastructure services.Experience in Microservices architecture.
• Technical expertise in designing and delivering cloud-based Software.
• Some familiarity and exposure to chat and machine learning concepts.
