WHAT YOU’LL DO:

As a Java Developer, you will play a pivotal role in analysing user requirements and business objectives, determining software features and functionality, and proposing modifications to existing Java-based applications. You will have the opportunity to research, develop technological solutions based on communicated requirements and technical design. Your role will also involve enhancing existing security solutions prioritised based on client feedback, developing automated testing for the solutions engineered, enforcing software SLDC in the development circle, and supporting continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies.

• Analyse user requirements and business objectives to determine software features and functionality
• Propose modifications to existing Java-based applications
• Compile comprehensive technical documentation and user assistance material
• Research and develop technological solutions based on communicated requirements and technical design
• Enhance existing security solutions prioritised based on client feedback, issues on PROD, internal discussion etc.
• Develop automated testing for the solutions engineered
• Enforce software SLDC in the development circle
• Support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies and presenting these for architectural review

The ideal candidate for this Java Developer role brings proficiency with core Java/J2EE technologies along with experience of utilising open source frameworks like Spring Framework. You are familiar with test driven development methodology and have hands-on experience with CI/CD tools like GIT, Jenkins, Team City. Your skill set includes experience of utilising relational database like JDBC, SQL, Store Procedure and scripting languages like Python, Shell, Regular expression. You have experience with Agile methodology and basic knowledge of using Linux, networking and information security.

• Proficiency with core Java/J2EE technologies (3+ years)
• Experience of utilising open source frameworks like Spring Framework
• Familiarity with test driven development methodology
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools like GIT, Jenkins, Team City
• Experience of utilising relational database, like JDBC, SQL, Store Procedure
• Experience of utilising scripting language. e.g. Python, Shell, Regular expression
• Experience with Agile methodology, e.g. spring planning, daily Scrum, retrospective etc.
• Basic knowledge of using Linux
