Description:
As a Java Developer, you will have the opportunity to support a large web application. You’ll work to develop new software within existing code bases: learn existing architecture, develop new features, and deliver bug fixes for current software. You will work within an existing team and collaborate with them to deliver on projects. Programming will be done using Java, JavaScript, SQL, CSS, Spring Boot, Mustache, Thymeleaf, React Native, HTML, and other tools.
REQUIREMENTS
- Four-year degree in Computer Science or related field and/or equivalent training and/or experience.
- We will accept 0 - 3 years of experience in programming and/or software development; proficient in programming languages.
- Strong experience with Java required.
- Some experience with SQL, JavaScript, and CSS.
- Experience with Spring Boot, Mustache, Thymeleaf, React Native, HTML, GIT, Jenkins preferred.

Responsibilities:
- Perform needs analysis of clients and end-users. Research, plan, design, and develop one or more components of a single larger system or entire moderate or small systems.
- Design and code new reports, programs, and other software and system components according to department and Telligen guidelines and will test all code written or modified. Partner with the testing team for regression and quality assurance testing. Collaborate with customers and end-users to ensure changes reflect are appropriate. Assist other programming staff in analysis and research of issues.
- Implement relational database design and modeling using the appropriate relational database software and may perform maintenance and backup functions for database.
- Write or revise system and operation documentation for complex new and existing programs and systems in accordance with Telligen and client standards.
- Be in the know of industry trends and will research and design the use of new technologies. Make recommendations for changes or improvements utilizing new technology.
- Serve as a resource and technical expert to clients and less experienced employee-owners and will be a resource expert to staff and management.
- Participate in or lead portions of the planning, researching, designing, and evaluation of software.
